Why GovSpendBase?
Public authorities must publish their spending but there’s no single place to see it all. GovSpendBase harnesses AI to aggregate, normalise, and audit billions of pounds of public expenditure in one place.
How It Works
We use advanced web-scraping and AI-driven column mapping to unify data from diverse sources. Human-in-the-loop checks ensure edge-case data is captured accurately.
How To Interpret The Data
Every record in the database comes with a link to its official source.
Published contract award values may be in excess of final spending. They reflect planned or maximum expenditure and may be revised,
partially fulfilled, or cancelled altogether. A contract award notice will look something like
this.
